The Soirée

The Soirée

It all Starts on 10/01/2022, at 2:30 pm…

The official ceremony is at sunset. In true Nicole and Kyle style, we’ll take our long, sweet, slow time getting there… meeting, mingling, and sharing a meal… listening… laughing… and leaning into one another.

Casual street-fare from a local Latin food truck will be served (think: vegetarian empanadas, Cuban sandwiches, street tacos and salad). If you have extra-awesome eating requirements, feel free to bring whatever you need! Same goes for beverages! We’ll have easy open seating and enough libations (beer, wine, water, and coffee) to keep your stories flowing and your dance moves fabulous.

We are so Excited to Celebrate, Outside…

Taking place amidst a backdrop of canvas sail-cloth tents, bohemian cushions, rogue vintage rugs, and string lights we’ll have a decadent outdoor oasis to celebrate in! There is nothing quite like the sweet scent of sage and sun-warmed pine… the sound of aspen leaves in the breeze… or stars at dusk.

October 1st is, though, officially fall in the Sierra! We will have tenting and outdoor heaters… but weather can still be wickedly wonderful in its variety (average temps for October are a glorious high of 72 and low of 37); we recommend busting out all your decadent layers (think velvet, fur, wool, and warmth), just in case!

As for Attire…

We will be dressed to impress, and ask that you be, too! Please do us the honor of celebrating this long-time-coming-love by dressing semi-formal (no tux necessary, but ties requested, suits celebrated, and denim distinctly dissuaded). Let’s get dolled up and make memories!

In addition to being amidst the magic of the trees and stars, basket-light chandeliers and brass candlesticks we are also on pressed gravel, great little vintage rugs, and cement: we recommend leaving those skinny-heeled shoes behind (you were going to slip them off anyway, to dance, right?!).

About our Little Ones…

Kids are oh-so-welcome (they’ll only have to be still for the short little ceremony); especially if it means you get to come and stay/play longer! Have four-legged companions of the fur-variety? They’re more than welcome to be wild, free, and wonderful on all the days leading up to the Wedding; please leave them in town or at your campsite for Saturday… fancy dresses and doggos just don’t really mix.
